Can you even handle how gorgeous Kristen is? She totally rocked her senior pictures!
We wandered around Peoria for some fun urban shots and then headed off to an empty field and created that fairy tale vintage photo of Kristen in her prom dress that you see on the bottom left. Pure love for this gorgeous senior session!

I have been slacking on the blog (again)! I get so caught up in photographing, editing, and sharing on facebook that I totally neglect to share here!
Keep an eye on the blog, though, because I have a serious backlog of gorgeous senior girls to share with you!
Let’s start with Alex. Could she possibly be any prettier?
She had the most amazing wardrobe and had it all organized in the back of her car perfectly.I think we went through six different outfits during the course of our 3 hour session! Loved it!
Poor Alex’s feet were killing her after walking all over downtown in those heels. Luckily, her mama saved the day.
Cracks me up every time I look at it! Our whole session was like this – a bit goofy and totally fun!
And, I love it when my seniors’ share their thoughts about the session. Here it is, in Alex’s own words:
“I had the best experience working with Karly!! I love senior pictures that when I look at them you don’t automatically know who the photographer is. I wanted something different, and that’s exactly what I got. My mom, Karly and I had so much fun walking around downtown Peoria finding interesting places to take some awesome photos. Karly was so helpful with what to wear and how to pose. Not to mention getting my hair and make up done by Alter Ego Spalon before the shoot took a lot of pressure off of my hands. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and I am so happy with how all of my pictures turned out. I would definitely recommend her to any senior looking for quality, and unique photos.”
October is now fully booked, but I do have a couple of spots available in November. After that you’ll have to wait until February 2013 to book! I anticipate my schedule filling up very quickly next Spring with some last minute Class of 2013 girls, but I’ll also be saving space for the Class of 2014! I had so much fun with Megan. She wasn’t sure she wanted senior pictures taken at all…apparently, the elementary school photos had traumatized her. Can’t say I blame her! 
But! We had a blast. So happy she decided to tough it out and get photos taken. She looks amazing and I couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out.

Have I mentioned that all of the pretty girls seem to come visit me?? Just look at her!
Aleshka is a photographer herself, so I was super honored that she asked me to be her senior photographer. <3

I have been so blessed with gorgeous senior girls this year! Marissa was no exception! I just loved her style!
A few words she shared with me about her session:
“I had such a great time working with you. You are so knowledgeable about where to go to get the perfect pictures. You gave me so many options of places to go to take pictures. You helped make the pictures a reflection of who I am. And I really enjoyed that. My shoot was so much fun! Thank you! ”

One of my favorite parts of being a senior photographer is that after the shoot is all said and done, I still get to be a part of my girls’ lives. We always become Facebook friends and it’s kind of awesome to keep in touch that way.
If you are friends with Maddi, whether in real life or just on facebook, then you KNOW how much that girl loves her some Hunger Games. I always giggled at her posts and nodded in agreement, because I love The Hunger Games, too. I read them all twice, I listened to book 1 on my iPhone, and I most definitely went and saw the movie.
What I’m saying is, this Hunger Games inspired photo shoot needed to happen.
Maddi showed up dressed like Katniss (seriously, she did an amazing job pulling the look together!), but the second I grabbed my camera out of my bag, she became Katniss. I’m pretty sure that if her marketing career doesn’t work out, she’d be just fine if she moved to Hollywood.
Thanks, Maddi, for helping to inspire one of my very favorite shoots to date. I had an absolute blast and hope you did, too!

It’s time for the Class of 2013 to start booking their senior portaits and I’m now scheduling for June, July, and August!
Lucky you, I’m still on the look-out for a few senior models from local schools (such as East Peoria, Pekin, Morton, Washington, IVC, and Peoria…other local area schools as well!).
